Hosted a Peanut Butter and Jelly drive with our partner Fifth Third Bank, so our children would have breakfast and lunch.
A partnership with Fifth Third Bank begin early this year, a conversation was how can we work together and give back to our community children. We took that conversation and moved forward with a hope to provide lunch for 100 children that would be there for them once the school year ended. This was much bigger than we even dreamed would happen. Our community is the most amazing, caring and giving group of businesses and citizens. We (Fifth Third Bank and SPSF) came together can collected over 300 jars of peanut butter, 300 jars of jelly, over 100 loaves of bread, cases of water, boxes of cereal, cereal bars and bags of chips. We were so excited to be able to give these children and their families enough food for breakfast and lunch. Thank you so much to many partnerships, to mention some (Kroger, FullScope Sports, Oakdale Church of God, Smyrna Prep School, American Legion Post 160 and the many citizens who stopped and dropped off food. Fifth Third Bank and SPSF was so proud to see our Police and Fire departments help as we loaded the items in the cars.
