Czarnik marks five years leading Smyrna Public Safety Foundation

Denise Czarnik is celebrating five years as executive director of the Smyrna Public Safety Foundation, a milestone she described with gratitude and reflection.

Czarnik stepped into the role in 2020. Since then, she has guided the nonprofit through growth and change, crediting the SPSF board for encouragement, guidance and support as she learned the nonprofit world.

“I am so grateful for a door that closed in 2020 that led to this opportunity,” Czarnik said. “It’s been an incredible experience because of everyone involved with Smyrna’s public safety community. I know the next five years will be ever better than the last five.”

She extended special thanks to current Board Chair Paul Powers and former Board Chair Sean Tintle for their dedication, as well as to public safety leaders for their openness to her numerous ideas and requests.

Czarnik said the past five years have challenged, stretched and blessed her. She looks forward to continuing the work of supporting Smyrna’s public safety community through the SPSF’s programs and partnerships.
