Oct. 11: Pumpkins and Public Safety

A fall community event with pumpkin decorating, doughnuts, cider and a Touch-a-Truck is scheduled for Oct. 11, 2025, from 3–5 p.m. at Smyrna First United Methodist, 1315 Concord Rd SE.
Hosted by the Smyrna Police Department, Smyrna Fire Department, the Smyrna Public Safety Foundation and The Tillman House, the free event invites families to meet first responders and explore emergency vehicles. Admission is a donated coat, gloves, scarf, hat or blanket of any size for kids or adults.
With a donation, each guest will receive a pumpkin to decorate alongside a first responder. Organizers say the drive will help “wrap warmth” around the community this winter.
