Handed out warm sweatshirts to those in dire need, donated by a local business.
Smyrna Public Safety Foundation has made many new business connections within our community this past year. Through these connections, we have been able to provide much needed items to our city and surrounding communities. I received a call from a local warehouse wanting to donate hoodies to a local shelter or non-profit who had a need for clothing items. Soon after the call, we identified The Extension out of Marietta who have helped hundreds of homeless men and women in Cobb County take control of their lives back from drug and alcohol. These men and women walk to and from their jobs and in the wintertime, they need clothing to keep them warm. So, with the help of our warehouse partner, SPSF was able to deliver 80 hoodies to provide warmth and hope to those who are working hard to make changes.
